Kaya Great Northern Hotel *****
🎢 A staycation that feels like a first-class carriage between King’s Cross and St Pancras. This 1854 railway hotel was once the gateway to the Great Northern Line. Today, it keeps that travel spirit alive: part heritage, part modern design. Rooms borrow from the golden age of train travel, with clever nods to vintage carriages and a mix of soft textures, glass, and steel. Downstairs, Rails Restaurant serves up modern British dishes from breakfast to late-night dinners and if you’re in the mood for a nightcap, the bar is just as elegant as an old first-class cabin. There’s also access to Pancras Square Leisure, five minutes away on foot, for an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room.
I booked this hotel as a birthday treat. On arrival I soon learnt there is no spa on site but a 10min walk away from the hotel. I walked over to then find out the spa was closed. The hotel were very apologetic. This app is unclear and misleading.
Amazing stay! Room and staff were 10/10. Breakfast details could be clearer. However, the spa, sauna, gym and pool are not at the hotel they’re 5 mins away in a Better communal leisure centre. This was very misleading and disappointing.
Un bon séjour, avec une équipe serviable. Néanmoins, nous avons dû "reclamer" les expériences incluses dans la réservation Staycation. De plus, le spa/gym ne sont pas dans l'hôtel, il faut se créer un compte, et réserver un créneau : pas pratique
Nous sommes déçus de l’expérience Staycation car l’annonce indiquait un spa et une piscine qui sont en réalité un accès à une piscine publique située à 5min de l’hôtel, qui n’appartient pas à l’hôtel, ce que l’annonce ne mentionnait pas du tout.
